BEHIND THE NUMBERS
This scenario applies the stated share prices and conversion assumptions to your chosen amount. The result is a hypothetical value, not a completed transaction.
The 2020 Form 10-K restates per-share amounts for the October 2020 split, describes initial 1:1 preferred-to-Class B conversion and identifies extra conversion shares for Series C. D/E/F models assume no holder-specific adjustment. Class B can convert 1:1 to Class A. Offering-price mark only; no sale assumed.
Calculation: amount ÷ reviewed preferred issuance price × assumed conversion factor × IPO offering price.

Published price precision is retained in calculations. A filing snapshot is not necessarily the investment date. These selected companies and stages do not represent typical private-market results; investments can lose their entire value.

THE EVIDENCE, IN BRIEF
Five reviewed filing prices—Series B, B-1, D, E and F—support approximate share-equivalent models. The filing already restates the split, so it must not be applied again. Series C’s additional conversion adjustment and the precision of earlier series are not modeled. The offering-price result is a mark, not sale proceeds.

WHEN YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER
The early business story and the preferred-share table use different dates: a filing snapshot is not an investment date.
$68.00 per share at the historical IPO offering. An offer-price mark is not an executed sale. You can also enter a public price within the reviewed date window.
Your amount is hypothetical. The evidence does not establish your investment minimum, eligibility or ability to sell.

The company traces its beginnings to Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia hosting guests in their San Francisco home. Its early booking numbers were modest. Product changes and international expansion came before the public listing.

Airbnb’s own timeline records pandemic-era changes, including online experiences. The road to its IPO was not a smooth, uninterrupted expansion.

Five filing prices support approximate share-equivalent models. The split is already reflected. B, B-1, D, E and F use reviewed 1:1 mappings. Series C is excluded for its additional conversion adjustment; Seed and A are held back because their coarsely rounded low prices need further precision review.
Additional rounds need their own issuance evidence, share-basis review and conversion terms before they can become calculator choices.
Airbnb’s filing records several preferred-share issuance prices. Our reviewed models cover Series B, B-1, D, E and F, and compare their share equivalents with the $68 IPO offering price. Start with a later series, then compare an earlier one using the same hypothetical amount.
The prices used here are already restated for the stock split. The December 2019 table date is a financial-statement snapshot, not proof of when an investor bought shares. That distinction is why these observations cannot establish your holding period or an annualized return.
We leave Series C out because it has an additional conversion adjustment. Seed and Series A also remain outside the calculator pending further price-precision review. A large headline multiple is only useful when the share units and entry evidence support it.

No. It is a historical valuation endpoint. Lockups, holder-specific restrictions, fees, taxes and the price on an actual sale date can change realized proceeds.
The calculator only enables reviewed paths. Series C has an additional conversion adjustment, while the coarsely rounded Seed and Series A prices need more precision review.
Yes. The linked IPO journey uses selected sourced historical public closing prices. Those endpoints are dated observations, not a live quote or proof that a holder could sell then.
Added an optional entered public share price, with reviewed conversions, splits and a company-specific date window.
